James (Bill) Moore, age 78 passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2014. He was a native of Forrest County, Mississippi where he was born on November 30, 1935. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean conflict. He retired from Jefferson County Road and Bridge as a supervisor. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday August 11, 2014 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow with full Military Honors at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Bill was preceded in death by his father, John Martin Moore and mother Alice Texana Parker Moore, brothers, Walter, Earl and John Moore, sister, Lucy Moore and step-daughter Felicia F. Wells. He is survived by his wife Helen Moore of Port Acres, sisters Joyce Breland of Beaumont, Miss., Effie Sisk of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Iva Mae Zywicki of Duluth, Minn. step-son Kelly Sport of Mountain View, AR. step-daughter Jo Ann Bennett of Port Arthur, TX. four grandchildren, Amanda Skinner of Groves, TX. Robin Brown of Nederland, TX. Brittney Brown of Port Arthur, TX. and David Brown of Vidor, TX, nine great grandchildren and a whole host of friends.
