Theresa Irene Creed, 90, of Needville, Texas and a former resident of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at SPJST Nursing Home in Needville. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 1, 1924 to Margaret Theriot Zampini and Joseph Zampini. She graduated from Port Arthur Business College, began working at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home as a secretary, where she met her future husband, Charles B. Creed. Theresa retired from Jefferson County Tax Office after many years of service in Port Arthur and Beaumont. She lived in Port Arthur for most of her life before moving to Needville in 2008 to be close to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ernie and Louis Albert (Jiggs) Zampini, her sisters, Verna Albritton, Willie Mae Laird and Ione Zampini and her husband, Charles B. Creed. Theresa was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, known to the grandchildren as "Maw Maw" and "Aunt T" to all the nieces and nephews. She was a friend to many and was a joy to be with. She will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Conner of Needville, three grandchildren, Kimberly Jackson and husband, Theo of Needville, Steven Conner and wife, Mikalyn of Guy, Texas, Matthew Conner and wife, Erika of Montgomery, Texas, three great grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua and Conner, her sister, Julia LeBlanc of Needville, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with services to follow at 3:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
