James Aubrey Yentzen, 94 passed away on November 6, 2014. He was born Dec. 20, 1919 in Darrow La. to Wilford A Yentzen Sr. and Anna L Haase Yentzen. At age six he moved to Port Arthur, TX and at age seventeen he went to work for Texaco as a mail carrier, laborer, and lab technician before going to WWII. In the US army he served in North Africa, China, Burma and India with rank of Master Sergeant. He returned to Texaco in 1946 as a lab technician and retired in 1980 as a supervisor in the shipping dept. He was a charter member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid duck hunter and loved fishing at Toledo Bend Lake. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. A funeral service will follow at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Rausch Yentzen and brothers Wilfred A Yentzen Jr. (Sonny) and Donald A Yentzen (Buddy). Survivors include daughters: Linda (Mike) O'Quinn, Bonnie (Chester) Hansen and Patti (Terry) Smith. Grandchildren: Daria (Brad) Bailey, Dawn Griffith, Kevin O'Quinn, Aaron (Xuan) Smith and Tara (Clint) Farquhar, great grandchildren Braden, Brynna, Kadi, Jacee, Kayden, Sarah, Noah, and Jett and one great great grandchild, Liam.
