Macie Weber, 85, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on February 2, 1929 to Mamie Davis Bartlett and Joseph Bartlett in Mobile, Alabama. She was the youngest of thirteen children. The family moved to Port Arthur, leaving farming behind in search of a better job. Macie graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and married James (Stump) Rogers in 1947. She was a devoted mother raising two sons and working in the home, in retail and as an insurance adjustor for Texaco. Macie is preceded in death by her husbands; James Rogers and Gerald Weber; her parents and four of her sisters and five of her brothers. She is survived by her two sons; Ray Rogers and wife Cheryl of Warren, Randy Rogers and wife Deborah of Port Neches; three sisters, Gladys Warner of Silsbee, Edith Collins of Katy, Margaret Olfers of Clear Lake; three grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson, Keith Rogers and Mandy Cannon; six great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Johnson, Colby and Lauren Rogers, Bethany Stewart and Kallie McNabb with numerous nieces and nephews and a beloved pet Abby. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
