Quang Dinh Pham, age 75, of Port Arthur, TX was called home by the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and relatives. He was born on December 10, 1938 in Vietnam. He evacuated his family to the United States in 1975 and has been a resident of Port Arthur since. He spent most of his life as a captain of his own shrimp boat and retired in 1995. He loves spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nhan Thi Tran; his children: daughter Lien Gloria Nguyen and husband Tuong; son Kiem D. Pham and wife Phuong; son Quynh Jeff Pham and wife Lanh Kris; son Quynh Jim Pham and wife Christine; son Dinh Paul Pham and wife My; daughter Lieng Jenny Tran and husband Thien John; daughter Loan Pham Kinchen and husband Nick; son Doat Ricky Pham, and son Cuong D. Pham; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.. He also leaves behind two sisters, Hat T Pham and Ha T Pham and a brother, Bang Pham. A visitation and prayer of rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 6P M at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home located at 5200 39th Street in Groves, TX A visitation and prayer of rosary at 5pm, follow by the Blessing of the Body Rites on Thursday, December 11 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A visitation and prayer of rosary on Friday, December 12 at 4:30PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, follow by a wake service at 6P M at Sf. James Catholic Church located at 3617 Gulfivay Drive in Port Arthur, TX A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 1 0:00AM at St. James Catholic Church with entombment ceremony to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, located at 3955 Twin City Highway in Groves, TX The family would like to thank Dr. Sawisky, Dr. Birdwell, Dr. Blahey, the staff at MD Anderson, and the staff at Compassion Hospice for all of their care and support during his illness.
