Henry Charles "H.C." Blanco Jr., 78, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at his home in Fort Worth. He was born September 11, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Henry Charles Blanco Sr. and Clara Lee Lavender Blanco. H.C was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1956 in Port Arthur. He was a baptized at the age of 13 and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1964. He completed his basic training at Fort Chaffee Arkansas where he qualified for and graduated in sharp shooting. He then was stationed at Fort Jackson in South Carolina where he graduated in MOS Field communications and was given an Honorable Discharge. He was very active in several of the Golden Triangles Clubs and Service Organizations and he continued to be very active after being transferred to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro-Plex with KRUM insurance Company. H.C. is survived by his son Charles Blake Blanco of Fort Worth, Texas, daughter, Tammye Ruth Blanco Knowles and husband, Mark of Groves, Texas, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, brother, James Harold Blanco of Port Arthur, Texas, sisters, Golden Evelyn Blanco Richard of Port Arthur, Texas, Barbara Ann Blanco Christopher and husband Bobby of Onalaska, Texas, Joan Marie Blanco Colichia of Lake Charles, Louisiana and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
