Alla Mae Dore' Hebert 85, of Port Arthur passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 8, 1929 in New Iberia, LA. Alla Mae is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lena Dore' and her sister Betty Colichia. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Port Arthur College in 1948. She worked for National Life Insurance Company and retired from CA Turner after 30 years of employment. She attended Immaculate Conception Church in Groves. Mae is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norbert "Blackie" Hebert, Jr.; sister, Nancy Byron of Nederland; brother, Johnny Dore' of Mauriceville; sons, James Alvin and wife Suzy of Toledo Bend, TX, Randy and wife Shanda of Groves, TX, Brian and wife Christie of Elgin, TX, Danny and wife Teri of Port Neches, TX. Grandchildren Jim and wife Heather, Jeff and wife Kelci, Jill, Sean and wife April, Brendan, Lindsey and fiancé Colby, Colton and Austin Hebert, J.W. and wife Liz, Wesley and fiancé Therise, David and wife Amanda Dorris. Great-Grandchildren, Peyton, Chloe, Drake, Trey, Chad, Jr., Gus, CJ, Lane, Lizzie, Truitt, Brianna, Rita, Heath and Tori. Along with a host of nieces and nephews that were all very special to her. Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 5-8 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2 PM at the funeral home with Msgr Kenneth Greig officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request that those who wish to remember Mae do so by making a donation to the charity of their choice. A special thanks to Jackie and Rashette, Harbor Hospice and all their wonderful employees for the excellent care and attention given to Mae during her illness.
