Glenda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She was affectionately known as "Fat Mome" or "Mome" to her grandchildren and their friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she attended all of their events as long as her health allowed. Glenda loved all of us unconditionally and was our biggest cheerleader. She instilled strong values, taught us the importance of family and always expected us to do our best. Although she struggled physically the last several years she maintained a strong faith and never complained about her limitations. Glenda touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and her passing has left a hole in all of our hearts. The family would like to express their gratitude to Franny Griffin and the other caregivers who have given Mom such loving care over the past few months. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 2628 61st Street, Port Arthur, TX 77640.
