Raymond H. Lee Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas, 84, passed away March 7 peacefully at St. Mary Hospital. He was born May 8, 1930 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond H. Lee, Sr. R.H. He was a Godly man. He always had a smile on his face. He lived what he believed. He was more than a music teacher, director, deacon, & Gideon. He has been active all over the world in ministry. As a committed Christian, he was a mentor and friend to many. He made a difference in everyone he met. He will truly be missed. He served in the Air Force for 26 years. He received many awards during his time service, including the Oak Leaf Cluster for meritorious service. R.H. then went on to Lamar University and graduated with a Masters degree in music. He then began a new career teaching band at Groves Jr. High mentoring many young lives. After retiring there was asked to teach band at Ridgewood Christian School. R.H. was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Annie Marie Adams and Jewett Nugier. R.H. is survived by his sons Raymond K. Lee and Danny L. Lee of Port Arthur, daughters Carolyn Tullis and husband Larry of Port Arthur, Linda Coleman and husband Dr. Matt of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Sister Rebecca Kennedy of Kaufman, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. A Celebration of R.H.'s life will be at 6:00 pm at Memorial Baptist Church, 4011 Memorial Blvd, Port Arthur on March 18, 2015.
