Charlie Albert Ihle, age 85, passed away on March 17, 2015 at Oak Grove Nursing Home. Charlie was born in Apalachicola, Florida on November 19, 1929 to Fred and Azelie Ihle. Charlie grew up in Port Arthur, Texas and was a longtime resident. He graduated from St. Mary's High School, was a 4 year member of the United States Air Force and retired from U. S. Department of Defense as a petroleum inspector. Charlie enjoyed boating and fishing, riding motorcycles, working on cars, repairing machinery and watching car racing. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Ann Ihle, daughters, Deborah Reeder and husband Glen, Beckie Ihle, sons, Chris Ihle and Rennie Ihle, Sr. and wife Renee', grandchildren, Greg King and wife Katie and daughter Kameryn, Heather Ihle and daughter Jaden, Jessica Ballard and Rennie Ihle, Jr. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. Charlie was loved by all family members and friends and will be missed by all. The family in accordance of Charlie's wishes to be cremated with no services is honoring him in that respect. The family would like to extend their thanks for the kind, loving, professional care that Charlie received while at Oak Grove Nursing Home and Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital. Their efforts made a difficult time much easier for all of Charlie's family.
