Concepicion F. Martinez, 88 years old, a lifetime resident of the Golden Triangle went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday of April 26, 2015. She was born on August 19, 1926 in Port Arthur, TX to the late Manuel and Concepicion Flores. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Christian. She enjoyed reading, being a homemaker to her 14 children, and she loved cooking and feeding all who happened to drop by to visit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manual and Concepicion Flores, her beloved husband, Reynaldo Martinez, and her sons Bernardo Martinez and Michael Anthony Martinez. Concepicion is survived by her twelve children, Josephine Marie Martinez of Houston, TX, Alfredo James Martinez of Elk City, OK., Theresa Jane Castillo of Houston, TX, Bertha Rodriguez of Beaumont, TX, Rebecca Rachel Foster of Beaumont, TX, Irene Bloodworth of Lumberton, TX, Deborah Peters of Opelika, AL, Elizabeth Ann Billeck of Houston, TX, Margarita Sue Peters of Margate, FL, Master Gunnery Sergeant/U.S.M.C. Christopher Rey Martinez of Oceanside, CA, and Cynthia Estell Cotney of Valley, AL, Mario Martinez of Houston, TX. She is also survived and was blessed by 30 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family would like to thank her caregivers and Legend Oaks of Katy, TX for the gentle loving care provided to Mom. Funeral service will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 2, 2015, followed by a graveside service at Memory Gardens in Nederland, TX. A viewing will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
