Charlotte (Lottie) Ann Lauve, 94 of Groves, Texas, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Magnolia Manor nursing home in Groves, Texas.

Lottie was born in Port Arthur, Texas and became a resident of Groves in 1951. She married Eddie, the love of her life, in April 1942—a union that lasted 68 years until his passing in November of 2010. Lottie was a loving wife and mother, and a consummate homemaker who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was devoted to God; found comfort in the church; loved bowling, dancing, card games, and game shows; doted on her grand- and great-grandchildren; and swore like a sailor while cooking. Although she refused to step foot on an airplane, she and Eddie enjoyed traveling throughout the United States by car and camping in state parks throughout the South. She lived a long, full life but missed her husband indescribably after he passed away; it is with happiness that their souls are now reunited and at peace.

Lottie is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Nedia Simon; her husband Edward John Lauve, and her son Layne Stephen Lauve.

She is survived by her son Bennie Edward Lauve and grandson Richard Lauve of Prague, The Czech Republic; and her granddaughter Sonia Vanessa Weaver and great-grandchildren Devan and Jade Weaver of Brookline, New Hampshire. Lottie was buried alongside her family at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. Donations in her honor can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana ( http://texgulf.wish.org/ ).
