Judy Pace Landry Hooker, 65, of Spring, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Spring. She was born on May 17, 1951 in Ruston, Louisiana to Naomi Otwell DeRouen and John Henry Pace, raised by her parents, Naomi and Robert DeRouen since she was six months. Judy lived most of her life in the Port Arthur area, she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969 and attended Lamar University.

She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Groves.

She was preceded in death by John Henry Pace from Bastrop, Louisiana, Naomi DeRouen and Robert Lee DeRouen both of Sabine Pass, Texas, Vicki DeRouen of Port Arthur, Texas, Jimmy DeRouen of Bridge City, Texas, David Pace of Bastrop, Louisiana.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Kelli Morris of Spring, Texas, her son, Todd Guidry and wife, Margie of Crosby, Texas, her three grandchildren, Christopher Guidry, Mackailyn Johnson and Mackenzie Johnson.

She is also survived by her sisters, Glenda Wade and Donna DeRouen both of Farmerville, Louisiana, her special aunt, Geraldine Stewart of Groves, Texas, her half sisters, Jonette Pace and Emily Pace both of Bastrop, Louisiana, her half brother, John Philip Pace of Bastrop, Louisiana, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A service to honor Judy’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2015 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson.
