Ophelia Flores Taylor, 94, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Senior Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born on March 28, 1922 to Josefa Vasquez Flores and Aurelio Flores in Port Arthur, Texas. Ophelia was a lifelong resident of the area. She retired from Texaco as a security guard after 30 years of service. Ophelia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Ramiro and Mike.
Ophelia is survived by her brother, George Flores, Sr. and wife, Catherine; her nieces, Melissa Richardson and Melinda Marks, her nephews, George Flores, Jr., Ray Flores and wife, Janie, Gilbert Flores and wife, Betty, Mike Flores and Dereck Flores and wife, Erica, several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home from 9:30 AM till 10:30 AM Monday, February 6, 2017 with a rosary to be prayed at 10:30 AM.
Graveside rites will follow at 11:00 AM Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Urbano Sáenz Ramírez, officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be George Flores, Jr., Ray Flores, Gilbert Flores, Mike Flores, Dustin Richardson and Jarvis Richardson with Dereck Flores serving as Honorary pallbearer. Arrangements are under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
