Annie Jane Carter

July 19, 1928 - July 23, 2017

Annie Jane Reynolds Carter, 89, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Lake Arthur Place in Port Arthur.

She was born on July 19, 1928 to her parents, Jessie Naul Reynolds and Hazel Wall Reynolds in Gillsburg, Mississippi. Annie has been a resident of the area since 1955. She retired from Sears as receiving department manager after 30 years of service. Annie was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Port Arthur.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jessie Marshall Reynolds and her son, Dale Carter.

She is survived by her three sons, Donny Carter and wife, Debbie of Port Arthur, Darryl Carter and wife, Kimberly of Nederland, Douglas Carter and wife, Gena of Nederland. Annie has seven grandchildren, Kaleb Carter, Blake Carter, Colton Carter, Brittany Dugan and husband, Chris, Chad Carter and wife, Jana, Josh Carter, Trace Holmes and wife, Kelli as well as seven great grandchildren, Lola Carter, Stella Dugan, Grayson Dugan, Carter Holmes, Caylee Carter, Casen Carter and Reese Roberts.

Annie is also survived by her sister, Doralene Foreman and husband, Doyle of Magnolia, Mississippi as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Annie’s Life will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches .
