Ann Marie Brogdon 95, of Groves passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Harbor Hospice.

She was born March 5, 1922 to her parents Dominick Joseph Gennuso and Anna Marie Gennuso in Washington, Louisiana.  Ann has been a resident of the Groves and Port Arthur area for over 75 years.  She retired from J C Penney’s after 35 years of service.  Ann was a member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) for 25 years and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dominick J Gennuso and Anna Marie Gennuso; 7 sisters; 4 brothers, her grandchild, Marci Renae Brogdon and her husband, Paul N. Brogdon Sr.

Ann is survived by her son Paul N. Brogdon, Jr. of Spring, Texas. Those left to cherish her memory are 4 grandchildren, Charisse Boutwell and husband, Richard, Tiffany Scarborough and husband, Barry, Shane Brogdon and wife, Helen, Trey Brogdon and wife, Julie.  She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Ann is fondly remembered by many friends and extended family.  Ann’s personality was such that people could feel the genuine honesty and friendship that she offered.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, celebrant will be Rev. J. C. Coon. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
