Edward James Reese Sr.

October 2, 1937 - October 10, 2017

Edward James Reese Sr., 80, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his residence.

Edward was born on October 2, 1937 in Beaumont, Texas and had lived 40 years in the Groves area. He had service his country in the US Army and was a member of United Methodist Church is Groves. He was employed with APAC Road Construction Company for many years. Edward enjoyed go fishing in his younger years and loved spending time with his family. Edward was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Barbara Reese and his daughter, Linda Kay Ray.

Edward is survived by his sons, Edward James Reese and his wife, Pamelia of Oak Creek, WI, Charles Thomas Reese; his daughter, Patricia Reese of Groves; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A 10 AM funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the funeral home, with Rev Marty Boddie officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
