The Astros got their angel in the outfield.
Stephen Berger Roos passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2017 after a brief illness. Born on December 17th, 1935, to Isidore and Dorothy Roos, Steve spent his entire life in Port Arthur Texas. While attending The University of Houston he started his long career in retail. Steve Roos Men's Wear and Butch Hoffer's were the places Steve honed his craft and clothed everyone in the golden triangle. Steve was blessed to call all of his customers his friend.
The one constant thread through Steve's life was his wife Fern. They were friends growing up and married on August 14th, 1960. They spent the next 57 years next to each other from their many cruises to their trips to visit their children and grandchildren. Steves greatest pleasure was traveling to Lake Charles and cleaning out the casinos one blackjack hand at a time.
Steve loved to travel. Some of his greatest trips were visiting the Baseball and Football Halls of Fame and his cruise through Europe.
Steve did have one regret, as he wasn't able to finish "eating his way down Westheimer".
