Simon Pedro Escareno

December 31, 1973 - October 21, 2017

Simon Pedro Escareno, 43, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

He was born on December 31, 1973 to his parents, Jorge Alberto Escareno and Rosario Zamora Escareno in Galveston, Texas. Simon has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed as a fitter with STI Group. Simon was affiliated with Iglesia Triunfo in Port Arthur.

Simon is survived by his loving wife, Gabriela Wong Escareno of Port Arthur, his daughter, Valeria Escareno of Port Arthur, his son, Asael Escareno of Port Arthur, his parents, Jorge and Rosario Escareno of Port Arthur, his two brothers, Ernesto Escareno and Marco Antonio Escareno both of Port Arthur, several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from Noon till 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 9 AM till 11 AM at the funeral home. Service to honor Simon’s life will be at 11:30 AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Carlos Torres, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
