Joan Adel Landry

November 21, 1933 - December 27, 2017

Joan Adel Landry, 84, of Groves passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Brookside Assisted Living in Lakeway, TX.

Joan was born on November 21, 1933 in Barada, Nebraska to parents Bonnie (Smithson) and Burdette Sailors. She had lived San Francisco, CA until she moved to Port Acres area in her junior year at Stephen Austin High School. Joan graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. She started working at M & I Electric in the Accounting Department and she served on the Broad of Directors in her later years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Groves. Joan enjoyed bowling, bowling a 300 in 1964, and she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Burdette Sailors; mother, Bonnie LeBlanc; her husband, Raymond James Landry.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Susan Hammond of Austin, Elizabeth "Liz" Fuselier and husband, Mark of Bridge City; five grandchildren, Danny Fuller, Taylor Fuselier, Spencer Fuselier, Garerett Fuselier, Lacey Hammond and one great grandchild, Emerson Fuller.

A 6 PM  memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, with a gathering of family and friends from 5 PM until service time. Internment will be held at a later date .
