Dolores Ybarra Menard, 81, of Port Arthur passed way on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Clairmont Nursing Home in Beaumont.
Dolores was born on December 26, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Maria (Heredia) and Luis Rios Ybarra Sr.. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1955 and she was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Dolores had worked at the Fair Store and she employed with First Bank and Trust as a teller for many years. She enjoyed in her younger years playing volleyball and traveling. Dolores was a loving person who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Simona Ybarra Rosas and Petra Ybarra Aguilar.
Dolores is survived by her husband of 20 years, Fleming Menard Sr. of Port Arthur; stepson, Paul Menard and wife, Sondra of North Carolina, stepdaughters, Donna Gonzalez and her husband, Fidel of Buna, Penny Menard and her wife, Becky of Bossier, LA, Tina Ramirez and her husband, Jessie of Port Arthur. She is also survived by her brother, Luis R. Ybarra Jr. and his wife, Naomi of Pasadena, TX; sisters, Jesusita Garcia of Groves, Juanita Teran of Rydal, GA, Ana Babineaux Mauriceville, Beatrice Y. Scarbrough of Lumberton and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. A 2 PM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, celebrant will be Rev. David Edwards. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
