Darlene Rita Janak Listak, 75, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

She was born on August 16, 1942 to her parents, Joe Janak and Albina Koebelen Janak in El Campo, Texas. Darlene graduated from El Campo High School in 1960. She lived in the area for most of her life. Darlene worked at several establishments over the years including Sears, Grasso and Jefferson County Tax Office as a secretary in the Automobile Division for over 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Noillie Rose 0’Quinn and her brother, Joe Janak , Jr.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Sidney Pete Listak of Port Arthur, her daughter, Brenda Listak McKenney of Hendersonville, TN., her son, Brian Listak and his wife, Tammy of Benicia, CA., five grandchildren, Tristan and Travis Listak, Amber, Devon, and Billy McKenney, one great grandson, Lucas McKenney.

She is also survived by her sisters, Yvonne Zaruba and her husband, Alvin of Hemphill, TX., Betty Jean Sinclair of Alvin, TX and Lana Janak of Rosenberg, TX., her brother, Errol Janak and his wife, Earlene of Palacios, TX along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Darlene’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
