Dung Van Nguyen

August 12, 1961 - April 29, 2018

Dung Van Nguyen, 56, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Dung was born on August 12, 1961 in Vietnam, he has lived in Port Arthur for several years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thong Van Nguyen; his grandson, Ja'Von Johnson and one brother.

Dung is survived by his mother, Hat Thi Nguyen of Vietnam, his children, Theresa Merrifield and her husband, Bryce of Florida, Jimmy Nguyen of Mississippi, Barbara Jolly and her husband, Kris of Alabama, Samantha Johnson and her husband, Virgil Jr. of Florida, Timmy Nguyen of Florida, Tommy Nguyen of Florida, Cynthia Nguyen of Tennessee, his companion, Lynda Le and two sister in Vietnam. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Talan Ramsay, Omari and Adrianna Johnson, Gaven, Lacie, Dawsen and Carmen Jolly, Naomi, Isiah, Noah and Joshua Nguyen.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home 5200 W. Parkway Street Groves, TX 77619 A 9 AM Mass will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Our Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church 801 9th Ave, Port Arthur, TX 77642 . Cremation will be held after the service under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
