Ella Mae Dionne

Ella Mae Singley Dionne, 92, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Meadows of Orange Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born on October 20, 1925 to her parents, Walter Carl Singley and Pearl Grantham Singley in Glenmora, Louisiana. Ella Mae was a resident of the area for over 75 years. She was a devoted and caring housewife in raising her family. Ella Mae was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Presley Joseph Dionne and her daughter, Marla Katherine Dionne and longtime friend, Henry Mont’e.

Ella Mae is survived by her three sons, Terry Dionne and his wife, Barbara of Navarre, Florida, Thad Dionne and his wife, Linda of Bridge City and Tim Dionne and fiancée, Debbie Speed of Port Neches, her four grandchildren, Tara Luna and husband, Alan, Michelle Ratliff, Sean Dionne and Ryan Dionne along with 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Ella Mae’s life will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
