September 6, 1957 — June 4, 2018

Blake Joseph LeBlanc, 60, of Groves passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018.

A 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, celebrant will be Rev. J. C. Coon. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Blake Joseph LeBlanc was born in Port Arthur on September 6, 1957 to Celeste and Ray LeBlanc.  He had one brother David.  His family always loved to hunt and fish.  The time he spent enjoying the outdoors always included lots of cousins, aunts and uncles.  It’s a tradition they have all tried to continue after the passing of his parents.  His favorite memories were spending summers with his Nanny Kathleen in Louisiana, forming strong, and lasting bonds with his cousins.

Blake graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 1975 and began his first job at Roland Angelle Pontiac working for his Uncle, Tony Angelle, in the body shop.  That same shop is now known as Twin City Motors.  He had one employer his whole life and due to illness, had to take a medical retirement in 2016.

Blake was a husband to Jennifer, who without the love of the outdoors, he may have never met.  Even though he lived 10 miles from her childhood home, he met her 110 miles away at Lake Sam Rayburn.

Blake was a father to Joseph “Joey” LeBlanc, a father-in-law to Kelly, but his favorite thing to be called was B-Paw.  He had two grandsons, Skyler and Leland LeBlanc.  He spent time in the outdoors showing them all the things he loved.  Hoping they would carry on the traditions.  Two years ago we were sent a blessing named MaKenzie.  She was his “P-Pie”.  Blake’s face would light up, and his heart would melt when he would see her.

All the time Blake spent battling illnesses, when people would ask, I’d always say, “we got this’’.  I stayed up last night writing this thinking it’ll have to be “I got this” now, but after reading what I just typed I have to say “WE GOT THIS”.  Blake passed Monday afternoon.  Rest easy Blake.  You will live on in our hearts.  No more pain.

Your loving wife, Jennifer.
