Margie Stansbury Nance, 95, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home.
She was born on March 8, 1923 to her parents, Robert A. Stansbury and Inez Duhon Stansbury in Port Arthur, Texas. Margie was a lifelong resident of the area. She worked as a seamstress for many years, doing costumes for Annabelle Taylor Studios. She also worked as a nanny for several years.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her half sister, Joanne Comeaux and her husband, Harvey “Jack” Nance.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Nance and wife, Janice of Lumberton, her four grandchildren, Kimberly Wolfford and husband, Darrell, Mary Bocek and husband, Jay, Aaron Nance and Sean Nance, five great grandchildren, Sara Schoenberg, Whitney Schoenberg, Reagon Schoenberg, Kennedy Bocek and Jace Bocek, one great great granddaughter, Austyn Addison. She is also survived by her half-sister, Delinda Dontje of California.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2018 at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
